Brother Knights of St. Joseph Council #7528,
Brothers,
We are celebrating the season of Thanksgiving. We have much to be thankful for. As a Council, we have united to achieve many of the charitable goals that we normally set for ourselves. Through a GoFundMe page, Christmas greenery, car wash, Coats-For-Kids, and a remarkable amount of personal donations, we should be able to meet our financial obligations.
I have just received a communication from Supreme. The assessments for the first half of the year have been cancelled, relieving us of this expense. Sadly, many Councils are in worse financial shape than we are.
Pertaining to financial matters, there is great news. As you know, our Worthy FS Joe Krick is starting graduate school in January, and will not be able to continue as FS. Our Brother Mike Fay has agreed to step into this role, which is one of the most critical in the Council. To both Joe and Mike, I extend my most sincere gratitude.
Pope Francis pleads with us to wear masks and maintain social distancing. We are nearing the most critical part of this terrible pandemic, and everyone is surely tired of it. But, again, we have something to be thankful for. Numerous pharmaceutical companies have come up with vaccines, and within months people will start receiving these life-saving medicinals.
I personally am thankful for the friendship of my Brothers, and for all of the support I have been given by so many Knights and their wives in this difficult time.
The Saw-Dust ministry has been busy, repairing a stove and vacuum, making a coat rack, and milling hundreds of feet of custom moldings. If any of the Brothers are in need, please contact the GK.
Vivat Jesus
