4th Degree Chairman
The purpose of this page is to provide a quick reference to the members of our council about the activities of the local 4th Degree Assembly. For more information, go to the Assembly website at http://www.kofc1955.org If you are a Third Degree Member and are interested in becoming a Fourth Degree Member, contact the 4th Degree Chairman.


Bishop Thomas E. Gill Assembly #1955 consists of all the 4th Degree Knights from the Councils in District #12: Auburn Council, Centenial Council at St. Philomena Parish in Des Moines, St. Joseph Council, and St. Theresa's Council. The Assembly meets on the 4th Wednesday of the month.


The following is a recap of the highlights of the Assembly's May 28th 2008 meeting:


10 new form 4’s were presented and approved for membership. That added to the 8 we already have in the pipe and means 18 for the upcoming Exemplification.

Old Business:
Reminded all that this Saturday 5/31/08 will be the State Squires convention at St. Vincent de Paul. 4th Degree will provide Color Corps for opening ceremony.

Installation dinner will be Sunday August 10, 2008 at Twin Lakes Golf and Country Club. More info to follow.

Sweats for Vets, we are waiting for price and order confirmation from Joe’s. Once received we will set a delivery date to the Wounded Warriors Unit.

Fr. Tom Vandenberg Knight’s Stroll on The Links Golf Outing to honor his years of service. Reminded all that the date is Tuesday June 24 at North Shore. Please sign up. The following link will get you to the registration form: Click here for more information and to sign up.

The proposed Assembly Officers for 2008/09 were presented. They are:

The slate will be voted on at the next meeting.

June 21, 2008 4th Degree Exemplification will be held at St. Vincent de Paul and is hosted by our Assembly. Please contact your candidates and make sure that they will attend. The complete program and information has been sent to every Assembly in western Washington. We will get the info on our web page. Since we are the host Assembly, please attend if you can. Thank you to Council 7528 for agreeing to prepare the meals for the event.

Color Corps:
The service for SK Joe Clemens will be held on Friday June 6, 2006 at St. Theresa Church in Federal Way. More info on time etc. will be sent when we are advised. We want to see a great turnout of SK’s to honor this Great SK.

The Assembly did a wonderful job at the Memorial Day Mass at Gethsemane. The Assembly placed the flags out at the service and provided the Honor Guard. The Bishop was very grateful for our support and had lunch with the SK’s that stayed for lunch.

Our next meeting will be Wednesday June 25, 2008 at St. Vincent de Paul room A.

Council Notes:

First Degree followed by the Planning Meeting on Tuesday, May 15th, in room "A" starting at 7:00 PM.

Nativity House breakfast. Meet at St. Vincent's Youth Center at 7:50 AM on Saturday, May 19th, and carpool to Nativity House in Tacoma. Contact the Nativity House Breakfast Chairman for more information.

General Meeting on Tuesday, June 5th, in the South Narthex with Rosary in the Chapel at 7:00 PM.

All of these events are worthy of your support. Volunteer and/or participate.
